Daily Routines

Morning Routines

Just like you use a calendar or to-do lists to keep your thoughts organized, kids can really benefit from visual schedules! They help little ones stay on track and understand their daily routines better. I’ve created a bunch of colorful morning routine charts with fun pictures to make mornings more exciting for your child! If you’d like to personalize it, I also included some charts without pictures so you can use your child’s own photo. I hope you find just the right fit for your little one! Plus, there’s a blank chart included for you to fill out if your routine looks a bit different. These were all designed with kids in mind, making mornings a breeze!

Transitions

Handwashing

Here is a typed-up version of the song I use with my infants and toddlers when washing hands during transitions. While the first verse was something hung up in our classroom, the second and third verses are entirely my own. I am very proud to have come up with something that made this transition a breeze. When the song is sung correctly and not hurried, it lasts the 20 seconds needed for appropriate handwashing. See my blog Handwashing for Kids: Why 20 Seconds Matters and How to Teach It, and why it’s important.
